Coop Switzerland has announced plans to offer free home delivery service for customers above the age of 65.
Initially, the service will be rolled out in Bern, Olten, Zurich and Lausanne.
The retailer will receive orders for groceries and hygiene products from Coop City department stores and Coop supermarkets via telephone or email.
On the following day, volunteers from the Swiss Red Cross will deliver the orders, Coop added.
The minimum order amount for availing the service is CHF 20.
