Coop Switzerland has appointed Alena Kress to join the communications team as a media spokesperson.
Kress has joined the team, headed by Urs Meier, alongside the spokespeople Ramón Gander and Andrea Bergmann.
Kress is 27 years old and from the Swiss border city of Basel. She studied Media Sciences and Sociology at the University of Basel and obtained a Master’s degree in Communication and Media Sciences from the University of Fribourg.
Recently, she has worked in communication for the music festival ‘Jugendkulturfestival Basel’ and has worked in public relations and the educational and cultural program at the Cartoonmuseum Basel.
Kress replaces Angela Wimmer, who has decided to take on new challenges outside the Coop Group, according to the retailer.
