Danish retailer Dansk Supermarked has announced that it is planning to open over 60 new Netto outlets in the next few months, and is looking to hire up to 900 new employees.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Dansk Supermarked was set to acquire 81 former Kiwi stores from Dagrofa. The retailer said that it planned to convert approximately half of them to Netto outlets.
Confirmed Locations
Dansk Supermarked has now confirmed the locations of the first ten stores, two of which are to be opened on 1 August 2017 in the cities of Odder and Ullerslev. From then on, three to four weekly store openings are planned.
“We had already set up an ambitious plan to manage the next store openings, which was revised after the acquisition of the Kiwi stores,” said Brian Seemann Broe, country director at Netto.
“I can guarantee that we are working hard to prepare an enhanced business concept for our Netto outlets. Right now, we are looking forward to bringing many new colleagues on board.”
Dansk Supermarked said that it will confirm further store locations as soon as plans for these have been finalised.
