Delhaize Serbia is planning to invest nearly €50 million in expanding its network, remodeling its stores and implementing other projects.
However, according to COO John Kyritsis, the company has encountered some problems in fulfilling its plans, which it hopes to resolve with the help and support of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) in order to expand much faster in the future.
According to local news agency Tanjug, the problems include insufficient coordination of inspectorates and necessary changes in certain regulations not being implemented.
During a meeting with PKS President Marko Cadez, an agreement was made to develop a new type of dialogue to jointly educate Serbian producers on how to become better suppliers and secure exports through Delhaize Group’s global network.
