Delhaize Belgium has added products from Marks & Spencer and El Corte Inglés to its 'Food of the World' department in Belgium, reports gondola.be.
Customers can now purchase a selection Marks & Spencer SKUs, including shortbread, strawberry jam, and English breakfast tea, from Delhaize outlets.
Marks and Spencer closed its Belgian operations in 2016.
A Wide Range Of Products
Elsewhere, Delhaize has partnered with El Corte Inglés to add a range of products that are an integral part of the Spanish cuisine to its offering
These include, among others, black olives, bomba rice, Horchata de chufa, and turrón from Alicante.
The Belgian retail giant has also teamed up with Italian player Fior Fiore to offer 39 authentic products and regional specialties from Italy.
These include cantucci from Tuscany, sauces alla Norma with Sicilian aubergines, and taralli with fennel from Puglia.
The remaining 70% of products sold in Delhaize supermarkets will be sourced from local suppliers, the report said.
