Delhaize is to move its head office from Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, in Brussels, to the former headquarters of media group De Persgroep, in Kobbegem, northwest of the Belgian capital.
The move, which is planned for the first half of 2020, according to trade media platform Gondola, is being made so that Delhaize can centralise its support services in one location.
The Ahold Delhaize-owned business already operates an extensive logistics and purchasing operation in Zellik.
"With this planned move, they will be joined by colleagues from the other support services such as marketing, HR, IT, Technical, Legal, Corporate Affairs, Finance and all other services," a Delhaize spokesperson told Gondola.
Employees that currently work in Delhaize's IT offices in Anderlecht, at Square Marie Curie, are also set to move to the new head office next year.
