Delhaize Belgium has confirmed that it will now power its competitor pricing intelligence with a solution from Profitero.
The international food retailer, which operates in seven countries on three continents, confirmed that Profitero will power daily competitive insights across thousands of SKUs, "enabling it to maintain a dynamic pricing strategy for both branded and private-label products".
“Profitero’s price-monitoring solution enables us to more easily track in real time how we are benchmarking on price,” said Kirsten Nijsten, director of business strategy and research at Delhaize Belgium.
“It’s important for us to compare competitors’ private-label brands against ours to ensure that we remain price competitive across both branded and private-label items," she added.
Delhaize believes that the partnership ensures that shoppers "always receive the right price at the right time".
