Danish chain Bilka, which is part of Dansk Supermarked Group, has announced that it is to open 'round the clock' during the month of December.
As well as 24-hour opening, Bilka stores will also play host to themed events, music evenings and competitions during the Christmas period.
A spokesperson for the group said that round the clock opening also enables the store to maintain a high stock count during one of the busiest shopping period of the year. Staffing will be handled by existing staff that have voluntarily accepted longer hours.
The stores will be closed from 24 - 26 December inclusive, as well as closing at 3pm on New Years Eve.
