Spanish retail group Dia has announced a €374,000 investment to transform two El Árbol stores into the 'La Plaza de Dia' concept. The supermarkets are located in Fuentes de Ebro and Zuera, Spain, reported Expansion.com.
Together, the properties cover 2,132 square metres' worth of space.
'La Plaza de Dia' is an operating model that gives importance to fresh products, and boasts a range of more than 5,000 SKUs.
In other news, Dia has presented its 'III Awards' to the best franchisees in the group.
The awards acknowledge the hard work of the Group’s franchisees in five different categories that represent the company’s values: Customer, Efficacy, Initiative, Respect and Team.
The award for ‘Customer’ was presented to Ramón Abril, Fructuoso Abril and José Antonio Abril, of Zafra and Llerena, in Badajoz, while the award for ‘Efficacy’ was presented to Yolanda Blanco and Verónica Serrano, of Maçanet de la Selva, Girona.
Susana Martínez, of Jaén, was awarded for ‘Initiative’, with the award for ‘Respect’ bring presented to Dongning Mu and Jianjun Li, of Madrid. The 'Team' award was presented to Daniel Alonso Mancebo and Maximina Feito of Navaluenga, Ávila.
