DIA Portugal has opened four Minipreço Market stores, located in Leça da Palmeira, Riba de Ave, Quarteira and Massamá. With the latest openings, the Portuguese unit of Spanish retail group DIA now has over 620 stores throughout the country.
The Minipreço Market stores are distinguished by new identifiable colours of blue and green for the interior and exterior decoration dedicated to communicating the new concept to customers.
They also provide a greater supply of services, especially in the area of fresh products, alongside improvements in the bakery, pastry, fish cuts, charcuterie and wine cellar sections. At a total of around 2,000 square meters, the new stores have created 34 new jobs.
In February , the executive president of DIA, Ricardo Curras, announced plans for the addition of a new insignia, Minipreço Market, with more service offerings, especially in fresh produce.
He also said that about half of the 346 Minipreço stores in Portugal will change their image and offer different services.
