Doris Leuthard has been nominated for appointment to the boards of directors of both Bell Food Group and Coop Switzerland.
Her nomination will be submitted to the Coop Delegate Assembly on 28 March, as a successor to Beth Krasna.
A 'Friendly Swiss Company'
Commenting on her nomination to the Coop board, Leuthard said, "Coop is an attractive and friendly Swiss company that has been a part of my life since I was a child.
"As a cooperative, it still embodies values that are dear to me, so I am very happy that I have been chosen as a candidate for Coop's Board of Directors."
Separately, Bell Food Group will propose Leuthard's name to its own general meeting on 16 April, as a replacement for serving board member Reto Conrad.
