The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has approved the acquisition of Agrimarkt by Jumbo, reports distrifood.nl.
The transaction will include six stores in the south west of the Netherlands in Goes, Middelharnis, Roosendaal, Vlissingen, Oud-Beijerland, and Terneuzen.
Majority of Agrimarkt employees, based in its headquarters and stores, will be transferred to Jumbo.
According to Jumbo chief executive, Frits van Eerd, the acquisition is "a nice addition" that will strengthen the retailer's market position in the south west of the Netherlands.
