Dutch retailer Jumbo has launched a new spring campaign aimed at encouraging consumers to eat a healthy breakfast. The 'Eerste Hulp bij Ontbijt' (First Aid for Breakfast) campaign provides 24 hints and tips to help consumers start the day off healthily.
Among the products being highlighted in the campaign are grapes, tomatoes, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, with a number of recipes featured in an accompanying booklet and via the website jumbo.com/ontbijttips.
Healthy Eating
The move comes as part of a drive by the retailer to encourage both its customers and 65,000 employees to make healthier dining choices. The group is engaging in a number of seasonal promotions, as well as unveiling around 200 healthier versions of some of its more familiar products, which are lower in sugar, salt and saturated fats.
"Eating breakfast is so important for a good start to the day," said Colette Cloosterman-van Eerd, formula director at Jumbo Supermarkets. "We are looking to help our clients to prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast, that doesn't take too much time to prepare or cost too much."
