Dutch retailer Jumbo has opened its fourth Jumbo Foodmarkt outlet in Leidsche Rijn, west of Utrecht in The Netherlands.
The store, which offers around 20,000 SKUs as well as a range of chefs and fresh specialists preparing dishes from around the world in the La Place kitchens, including Mexican street food and Asian poké bowls.
'Exceed Expectations'
"Jumbo continuously responds to the wishes of customers and we want to continue to exceed their expectations," said Colette Cloosterman-van Eerd, CCO of Jumbo Supermarkten.
"In this concept store, all ideas and inspiration that we have in the fields of easy, tasty and healthy eating come together. We do this with a wide range of fresh, tasty and healthy products and the preparation of fresh meals in our La Place kitchens. Shopping at Jumbo Food Market Leidsche Rijn is really a party. We look forward to inspiring everyone in the Utrecht region with the best of Jumbo and La Place. "
The store also also offers a wide ranger of seasonal produce, a comprehensive wine selection, freshly-roasted nuts, slow cooked meats, and the largest fruit and vegetable selection in The Netherlands.
"We have worked long and hard towards this opening," commented Arjan van der Maas, branch manager of Jumbo Foodmarkt Leidsche Rijn. "It is fantastic to see that on the opening day so many people came to our store and reacted so enthusiastically."
The store boasts parking space for 1,200 cars and is open 365 days a year.
