Dutch retail giant Plus has named Mayte Oosterveld its new chief financial officer, effective 1 June 2019.
She will also be a member of the company's retail management team, and along with CEO Duncan Hoy form the statutory management of PLUS Holding BV.
Interim CFO Sjoerd Schaafsma will continue to hold on to his role over the coming months to ensure a smooth transfer of activities.
An Experienced Professional
Oosterveld is an experienced professional with an extensive background in finance and strategy.
She began her career in Goldman Sachs, and specialised in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance.
Most recently, she held the position of senior vice-president for business planning and performance at Ahold Delhaize.
Her responsibilities included management reporting and budget planning.
She also led the merger and acquisitions department, and was responsible for a large number of transactions, including the merger between Ahold and Delhaize in 2016.
