Italian grocery Eataly has opened its second store in the UAE, located in Dubai's Festival City, promising to offer local ‘foodies’ high-quality Italian food and drink.
As well as a grocery section, the store has spaces to learn about Italian culture and eight restaurants.
The store shelves feature typical products from across Italy's 20 regions, and Eataly says that each product is carefully selected by an expert buying team.
These include the famous durum wheat pasta from Gragnano, Piedmont’s egg pasta, mineral water from the Marittime Alps, Veneto wines, Ponente Riviera Ligure oil, Piedmont’s fassone meat, and traditional Italian cheese and cold cuts.
The store also stocks Illy coffee, and features a Juice Bar as well as a Nutella sales point. It includes the Middle East’s first Venchi gelataria.
With recipes and educational free tastings, shoppers will also be able to learn how to recreate traditional Italian dishes in their own kitchens.
