Edeka's e-center in Besigheim will reopen its doors on 29 September after five months of renovations and modernisation.
The renovation includes an enlargement of the fruit and vegetable section, which now provides a wide range of vegan and organic products, as well as a large convenience-product section.
With an assortment of about 34,000 SKUs, the store also offers regional products from local farmers, while some 150 of a total 900 wines are from local vintners.
As part of the modernisation process, Edeka invested in the use of sustainable energy, such as a new ventilation system, a climate-neutral CO2 refrigerating plant and LED lightning.
