German retailer Edeka Südwest has reopened its store in Mannheim-Vogelstang after an extensive redevelopment project.
With around 1,360 square meters of sales space, over 14,000 products will now be available in the refurbished store.
New Features
At extended service counters, shoppers can now buy meat, cheese, fresh fish and other regional and national food. For bigger parties, cold meats and gift baskets can be ordered and delivered to a specific location if necessary.
The new bakery serves freshly baked bread and other pastries, and an extended drinks department with over 500 different types of wines has been installed.
The new supermarket places a special focus on regional products.
In terms of sustainability, a CO2 refrigeration system and a heat recovery system were installed, and the lightning has been switched to environmentally-friendly LED technology.
