German retailer Edeka Nord has announced that Boris Göttsche will become the company's new senior vice-president of sales and marketing.
His predecessor, Michael Meinert, will stay with the company and assume an advisory role in the sales department until his retirement.
Göttsche has been an employee of Edeka Nord since 2009, but the retailer says that the 39-year-old has been preparing to take over Meinert's role since 2015. During his time with the company, Meinert was part of the team that introduced a new ERP system, called Lunar, to Edeka's operations, as well as assisting with new-store openings and marketing projects.
The retailer and wholesaler operates around 700 stores across northern Germany, with headquarters in Neumünster.
