In addition to its new branch in Weilerbach, Germany, retailer Edeka will open a new supermarket in Korntal-Münchingen on 30 November. The new branch, located at the Feuerseeweg, will be staffed by 47 employees and five trainees.
The new store will offer around 20,000 discount, private label and A-Brand items, in a customer-friendly retail space of approximately 1,300 metres-square.
Products will include a range of regional and local products, such as flour and sausages, organics, specialties and delicatessen.
In line with the new branch in Weilersbach, the Feuersee market will feature serving counters for meat and meat-products, fish and cheese, a bakery counter and an in-store wine department, with many regional wines. Trained vendors will be at hand to advise the customers.
In terms of sustainability, the Edeka Neumann branch has also been designed to the latest climate-friendly standards, with heat-exchange systems, LED lighting and CO2 refrigeration.
Extras will include a recycling, hamper, and delivery service.
