German retailer Edeka Südwest has been awarded the ControllerPreis 2017 by the Internationale Controller Verein (International Controller Association).
The prize was awarded for the company's development model which enables business managers to lead and manage their strategic objectives in a central system.

"As a company group with several subsidiaries and business units, Edeka Südwest depends on the complete networking and coordination of the management and control systems," said Gerald Fauser, head of control at Edeka Südwest.
The jury praised the development and integration of the business solution across the company's departments.
The retail group employs over 43,500 employees in the south-west region of Germany.
