Edeka plans to improve its fresh food offering across its German discount stores. The co-operative retailer's Netto Marken-Discount banner will see the launch of in-store bakeries in 1,000 of its 4,100 stores, as well as revamping its meat and charcuterie counters during 2013.
The latest move from Netto Marken-Discount will bring the German banner’s total number of stores with bakeries to 1,200. Additionally, 400 stores in south-east Germany will see their meat and charcuterie service counters overhauled. (15 Jan)
