Spanish retailer El Corte Inglés will take part in the World Day of the Fight Against Breast Cancer, taking place on October 19.
As reported by europapress.es, some of the actions planned by the retailer include pink awareness ribbons for staff, the installation of pink lightning in the shopping centres and donations when customers acquire certain products.
Actress Norma Ruiz, and the President of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC), Ignacio Muñoz Pidal, launched the campaign yesterday (13 October).
El Corte Inglés shopping centres that have illuminated their facades pink include Bilbao, Castellana, Goya, Preciados, Princesa y Serrano in Madrid, Diagonal in Barcelona, La Coruña, Las Palmas, Málaga, Murcia, Nervión in Sevilla, Palma de Mallorca, Pintor Sorolla in Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo and Sagasta in Zaragoza.
Customers willing to contribute to the initiative can acquire the gift card that El Corte Inglés has designed for the occasion and which will be available until the 26th of October. The company will donate 5% of the balance to the AECC.
