Spanish supermarket group El Corte Inglés has opened a new logistics platform, located in La Bisbal del Penedés (Tarragona) to strengthen its service in Catalonia and across all the Mediterranean region.
As reported on revistainforetail.com, the facility is located on a site of over 230,000 square metres and on its first phase, it features a storage surface of approximately 45,000 square metres, for which €70 million were dedicated.
The centre aims to improve service not only in Catalonia, but in Aragón, Levante, Murcia and Baleares.
With this opening, El Corte Inglés reaches nearly a thousand employees dedicated to logistics and distribution-related tasks within the Catalonian community.
