Eroski is expanding in Mallorca with the recent launch of three supermarkets, including a 700 square metre store in Muro. The Spanish co-operative is increasing its presence in the Balearic islands and has opened two other supermarkets in Onda en Mallorca, with a store in Son Serra Marina and another in Alcudia Mar.
Further development of Eroski’s presence in Mallorca is expected, with plans for the opening of a number of self-service stores across the islands. The retailer recently opened seven new stores in the Andalusia region of its native Spain and plans to open up to 60 more franchises across the country before the year is out. (26 Jul)
