Spanish retailer Eroski has opened a new supermarket in San Sebastian, as part of the company's ongoing investment programme.
The supermarket, which will create 43 new jobs for the area, features a wide selection of local, organic, and free-from food, along with Eroski's standard range of products.
The new store will be energy efficient, with chilling and lighting systems that will reduce energy consumption by around 60% compared to the retailer's conventional supermarkets.
Continued Investment
Eroski plans to make an annual investment of around €100 million over the next few years, remodeling existing stores and opening new supermarkets.
The retailer will focus on the north and east of Spain, as these are regions where it has a strong position, with around 18% of the market share.
