ESM was the media partner at last week’s Consumer Goods Forum Global Summit in Singapore, the annual coming together of the biggest names in retail and FMCG.
Following the event, ESM chatted to Consumer Goods Forum managing director Peter Freedman, to get his perspective on some of the main talking points of this year’s Summit, as well as what he anticipates will be on the agenda as next year’s event, in Vancouver, approaches.
As he explained, collaboration was one of the most evident underlying themes of the event, with industry leaders such as P&G chief executive David Taylor, Dick Boer of Ahold Delhaize, Emmanuel Faber of Danone and former US Secretary of State Madeline Albright among those advocating for greater collaboration between retail and consumer goods businesses, as well as with governments.
The 2019 edition of the Global Summit takes place in Vancouver, Canada, from 12-14 June 2019. More information is available on the Consumer Goods Forum website.
