Italian discount supermarket chain Eurospin is to open its first store in Croatia on 13 August.
According to an announcement published on its official Facebook page, Eurospin Hrvatska said that its first supermarket will be located in the coastal city of Zadar.
Eurospin will offer Croatian customers more than 2,500 SKUs from its 45 private label brands, it said, as well as offering a range of locally-sourced items.
Eurospin opened its Croatian office in 2018, with the division headed by Massimiliano Pozzi.
Eurospin Hrvatska intends to initially open around 15 stores in Croatia while the long-term goal is to reach 100. The retailer aims to target all towns with over 10,000 inhabitants.
Eurospin operates more than 1,000 stores in Italy and Slovenia.
