Charles Antoine de Fougeroux has been elected the president of Fabricants de Biscuits et Gâteaux de France trade union, succeeding Catherine Petitjean.
The union, created in 1945, is a member of the Alliance 7, and represents 85 per cent of the €2.5-billion biscuit-and-cake market in France, according to LSA.fr. It protects the interests of some 12,500 employees.
Fougeroux was previously the managing director of the Maison Fossier, famous for the Biscuit Rose de Reims brand, for the past six months. He is a qualified agricultural engineer, and holds an honorary MBA.
