Finnish retailer Kesko has reported a 10.1% growth in sales from its continuing operations to €1.02 billion in June 2020.
In comparable terms, sales increased by 12.6%, the retailer added.
The retailer’s grocery trade division accounted for sales worth €511.0 million, up 11.3% compared to June 2019.
Sales in the HoReCA division, Kespro, declined by 13.2% due to restrictions imposed on restaurants in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, a 17.6% increase in grocery sales to K-food stores compensated for this decline.
K-Citymarkets saw a 6.9% jump in sales of home and speciality goods in June, the retailer added.
The company’s building and technical trade divisions reported sales of €436.4 million, up 17.5% in comparable terms in local currencies.
