Finnish hardware chain K-Rauta, part of retailer Kesko Group, has opened a pilot store in Keuruu. The chain hopes to test its new brand image and review customer feedback in time to ensure that the 140 stores, scheduled to re-open after similar refurbishments next spring, will meet customer demands.
The new store-format focuses on building- and home improvement supplies and has added a drive-through pick-up area for convenience. Besides hardware and machinery, it offers services including design, transport, installation and assembly.
"The most important thing in this new store is good customer service and we invest in the improvement of the shopping experience in accordance with the wishes of the local Keuruu customers. Becoming part of the new K-Rauta chain is a big boost to our enthusiasm for renewal,” said the store's manager, Marko Kuoppala.
Antti Ollila, Director of the K-Rauta Chain, said: "Finland is full of renovations waiting to be done and buildings waiting to be built. For our part, we want to encourage customers to start their projects and we will manage the project so that nobody loses their peace of mind during the project."
