Four food retailers are among the most reputable companies in Portugal, according to a report prepared by OnStrategy in partnership with the Corporate Excellence Foundation.
The report analysed 180 brands in Portugal between November 2015 and March 2016 to establish which ones had, among respondents, a reputation for excellence.
Ikea was the only company in Portugal to win the reputational excellence brand status honour (80 points), awarded to all those who get 80 or more points.
Supermarket chain Pingo Doce registered 76.9 points (-0.6% compared to 2015), hypermarket chain Continente registered 76.4 points (-1.5%), discounter Lidl had 73 points (-0.9%), while Jumbo had 72.6 points (+1.4%).
According to OnStrategy, compared to many other countries, Portugal has very few brands with excellence brand status, mainly due to the local economic environment.
