Netto France Adopts Bulk Selling Approach

French discount chain Netto is aiming to sell FMCG in large quantities for the remainder of the month.

It said in a statement to French media that between now and 1 March, it wishes to sell stock in bulk. It has initiated a marketing campaign in conjunction with this sentiment.

Among the items it wishes to offload at reduced prices are three-kilogramme packets of rice, pizzas (three per packet) and green beans (a dozen tins to a packet).

Netto, which is owned by the Les Mousquetaires group (of which Intermarché is the primary subsidiary), is also offering a kilogramme of cordon bleu for €2.79 and three kilogrammes of chicken legs for €2.09.
