Serbian supermarket chain Gomex opened four new supermarkets in December, taking its total store count to 151.
Three of the new stores - located in Deliblato, Dolovo and Bajmok - are in the retailer's mini-market convenience format.
All three stores include a butcher's counter, as well as sections for fruit, vegetables and dairy products. Nearly 3,000 items are available to consumers, including a number of Gomex private label brands.
In Grandulica Guvno, the grocery retailer also opened a new supermarket, with retail space of 253 square meters. The stores features more than 5,000 products, as well as hand-made cakes and a coffee mill.
Retail Expansion
Meanwhile, Delhaize Serbia also expanded in December, opening two new Maxi supermarkets. The first is located in Belgrade, in the Zemun Park retail centre, while the other is in Kraljevo's Nest Retail Park.
Delhaize Serbia now operates more than 400 Maxi, Shop & Go and Tempo stores across the country.
