French retailer Grand Frais has opened its first supermarket in Italy, located in Beinasco, near Turin, according to Gdoweek.
The retailer first announced its plans to gradually expand its activities to Italy earlier this year.
At the new Beinasco store, Grand Frais is operating under the banner 'Banco Fresco', inspired by the Italian tradition of local markets.
The outlet is spread over an area of 1,000 square metres, including a separate bakery and pastry shop, which is located next to the entrance, according to the traditional Grand Frais formula. Inside the store, the focus is mainly on fresh produce, specifically fruit and vegetables.
The supermarket employs 60 staff members and provides 300 car parking spaces for customers.
