Groupe Casino has installed David Lubek as its new chief financial officer and member of the retailer’s executive committee.
Lubek, 45, replaces Antoine Giscard d'Estaing, who has left the business after ten years to ‘pursue new professional projects’, Casino noted in a statement.
Lubek, an inspecteur des finances, graduated from École Polytechnique before joining the Ministry of Finance in 2000, in the budget department, where he held numerous positions of responsibility.
In 2010, he joined Groupama as chief audit executive, while in 2013, he joined Groupe Casino as group controlling officer, followed by deputy chief financial officer.
In a statement, Jean-Charles Naouri and the Casino board of directors ‘warmly thanked Antoine Giscard d'Estaing for his contribution to the group's development since 2009’.
