Johnson Matthey, the parent company of leading branded aversive agent Bitrex, has announced the appointment of Siobhan Hanlon as its new Bitrex Business Manager, effective November 2019.
In her role, Hanlon, who joined the business from Lloyds Banking Group in 2016, will lead the management of the Bitrex business globally, defining its business strategy and ensuring successful execution.
Bitrex, the bitterest substance in the world, is added by retailers and manufacturers to household products as a safety ingredient to deter ingestion by children.
Among the firms that work with Bitrex are Tesco, Kaufland, Morrisons, Costco, Henkel, Halfords, Coop and Système U.
