Rewe Group has announced that Hans-Jürgen Moog will lead the merchandise division of Rewe and Penny.
He will report to the chief executive officer of the Rewe Group, Lionel Souque.
Daniel Kniel and Philipp Stiehler, the heads of purchasing at Rewe and Penny, have been named as general managers of their respective companies, the retailer said.
'Excellently Positioned'
"This new leadership structure is as powerful as it is efficient," Souque said.
"With Daniel Kniel and Philipp Stiehler in product responsibility under the leadership of Hans-Jürgen Moog, we are excellently positioned."
Moog will replace Jochen Baab, who stepped down from the position to pursue a new role with the Globus Group.
Souque thanked Jochen Baab for his service to our company, and said, "We respect his decision to accept a new professional challenge at the Globus Group. Due to the good bilateral business relations, we have decided to allow Jochen Baab a smooth transition."
