Austrian retailer Hofer, the sister supermarket chain to Germany’s Aldi Süd, has announced that it will open a new outlet in Gänserndorf near Vienna.
Hofer has been expanding its branch network in Austria. In 2017, 15 new outlets have been opened so far, and more than 30 have been modernised.
Store Features
The new store will feature bread and pastries, a variety of snacks and drinks, and other products such as fruits, vegetables and wines.
Adding to the retailer's sustainability initiative 'Projekt 2020', the new store will be operated by renewable energy and will be cleaned with only ecological products. In addition, LED lights were installed to save energy.
