Austrian retailer Hofer, a sister supermarket chain to Germany’s Aldi Süd, has announced the completed reconstruction of one of its outlets in Judenburg, near Graz.
During the seven-week construction period, the store remained open for customers.
Store Features
The new outlet now offers 1,122 square metres of sales space, which is considerably larger than the previous 822 square metre store. In order to generate a sustainable and efficient energy supply for the store, LED lighting and a cogeneration plant have been installed.
As well as a fresh in-store bakery (installed in May 2015), the new-look supermarket now also provides customers with a range of chilled snacks and drinks. In addition, a wider selection of fruits and vegetables and a variety of wines are available.
