Nine months after the Zielpunkt insolvency, Austrian discounter Hofer has taken over the first of a total of eleven locations of former Zielpunkt stores.
On Thursday, 8 September, the new store opened its doors on Krottenbachstraße 106, in Vienna's 19th district.
The new store offers a large range of bread and pastries in its Backbox in-store concept. Right next to it, you will find the Coolbox, which provides snacks and convenience-products.
Included in the 15 employees and trainees are a number of former Zielpunkt staff, who now work for Hofer.
True to the motto of 'Projekt 2020' - an ecological project by Hofer with five main goals to be accomplished by 2020 - the store only uses green power from Austria and cleans exclusively with environmental-friendly cleaning supplies.
