Hofer, Austria's version of Aldi, has been named the number one retailer in the country, in an independent awards programme.
The 'Best Retailer 2016' programme involved seven categories with a total of 47 criteria.
The independent market- and opinion institute TNS Info Research Austria assessed the retailers.
Hofer achieved a perfect 100 points in five from seven categories (infrastructure, personnel, image, prices and marketing).
The programme was commissioned by the trade magazine CASH.
