Aldi Süd has announced that it is to appoint Max Hofmarksrichter to its management board, as a replacement for Wolfgang Säbele, who recently left the company.
According to Lebensmittel Zeitung, Hofmarksrichter, 45, will join the board on 1 May 2017, having recently spearheaded the move by Aldi into Italy.
Michael Veiser, who heads up logistics and services at Aldi Süd Dienstleistungs will be appointed country managing director at Aldi Süd Italy once Hofmarksrichter assumes his new position.
Aldi Süd's management board acts as an advisory body for the 31 regional companies within the Aldi Süd group in Germany.
