Swedish retailer ICA has announced the appointment of Anna Nyberg as the new CEO of its real estate division, effective 17 August.
She will succeed Lena Boberg, who will leave the company in the summer of this year.
Nyberg commented, "ICA Real Estate has developed into a city builder with a number of exciting projects and established joint ventures, and this opportunity to take over after Lena Boberg will be very stimulating and exciting.
"ICA’s company culture is characterised by empowerment and entrepreneurship, which is an environment that I appreciate and thrive in."
An Experienced Professional
Nyberg presently serves as the head of business development of Vasakronan, a real estate company in Sweden.
She will also be a member of the ICA Management Team and report to Per Strömberg, the CEO of ICA Gruppen.
Commenting on her appointment, Strömberg, said, "With Anna Nyberg’s broad base of competence in real estate and ability to create value in commercial property development, we will continue to meet ICA’s need for the right premises at the right locations."
