IGD, the training and research charity for the food and grocery industry, has appointed executive search firm MBS Group to lead the search for the successor for chief executive Joanne Denney-Finch, OBE.
Denney-Finch will leave the UK-based company in September after more than 20 years in the role. She announced she would be stepping down in March, after a "landmark year" for IGD in 2017.
"It has...been my ambition for some time to explore a number of different opportunities in both my professional and personal life in the future and these require more time than I presently have working full time," she commented upon the announcement.
MBS Group
While the MBS Group is involved with executive recruitment across all customer-facing industries, it specialises in grocery, food, and FMCG. Its clients are based in 39 countries, and it has been in operation for almost thirty years.
The recruitment search will begin immediately, and will be overseen by the IGD Board of Trustees. Elliott Goldstein, a partner with the MBS Group who leads consumer products and retail practices, will spearhead the search.
