Italy’s largest organic supermarket chain NaturaSì has opened its first store in Bulgaria, as part of a franchising agreement with local company Vegan Milk, reports Capital.
Located in Sofia, the 240 square metre store offers over 4,000 organic products. This includes packaged (pasta, rice, beans, cereals, canned) and bulk foods (nuts, dried fruits, cereals), as well as cosmetics, household chemistry, pet food, fresh fruit and vegetables, delicacies and baby products.
Most of the products are imported from Italy, France and Germany, but Bulgarian organic products will also be sold in the store. Initially, about 15 locally-sourced organic products will be available.
Continued Expansion
By the end of August, the Bulgarian NaturaSì store will also introduce online sales. The company hopes to achieve an annual turnover of BGN 3 million (€1.53 million) in 2018, as well as open a second store in Sofia.
NaturaSì is the largest Italian company to specialise in the production and distribution of organic products, with about 500 owned and franchised stores.
