Italian retailer VéGé Group has seen its market share increase from 1.4% to 3.7% over the past three years, while the number of outlets operated by the retailer has grown by 90%. Its total retail space has grown by 116%.
In the same period, turnover at VéGé Group has risen from €2.6 billion to €3.3 billion at the end of 2015, with €5.5 billion targeted for 2016.
Over the past year, the retail network increased from 25 to 32 partners, with the arrival of Supermercati Tosano Cerea, Bava, Asta, Fratelli Arena, Multicedi, Dolcitalia-Svive and Convi'-Geda. The group should close 2016 with 2,474 stores and a total sales area of 1.157 million square metres.
In 2017, the VéGé Group is planning to strengthen its presence in the Home & Personal Care segment, as well as additional promotional activities and the restyling of small and medium-sized retail outlets.
