Jumbo Belgium has announced that it has acquired two Alvo supermarkets in Deurne and Ranst.
The retailer will convert the two stores to the Jumbo banner and retain all existing employees.
'Planned Expansion'
Managing director of Jumbo Belgium, Peter Isaac, added, “The acquisition of these two retail properties is important to Jumbo and contributes to our planned expansion in Belgium. We are currently working towards 10 stores in 2020.”
Jumbo plans also to open a second store in Wim Saerensplein in Deurne this year, in addition to the rebranded store in Lakborslei.
