Dutch retailer Jumbo will extend its home-delivery service to customers in The Hague and region. The Hague is the 100th location to be included in the service.
"We know that many of our customers shop in different ways and at different times. They still visit supermarkets often, but increasingly choose to order groceries online, for example, if they have little time or need many products for a party. It was already possible to pick up online orders at in-store Pick Up Points in The Hague, but from now on we will deliver groceries as well. This will offer our customers the maximum of choice to shop where, and when they want," said Jurriaan Pouw, director of e-commerce at Jumbo Supermarkets.
The deliveries are organised from the supermarkets' in-store Pick Up points. Orders are delivered the following day - in the morning or the evening, according to the customers' preference. Jumbo Online offers around 20,000 items, including fresh produce and bread.
