Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo has announced that it has inaugurated its Belgian office in Brasschaat.
The new office comprises around 36 employees who will work on launching Jumbo outlets in the country.
Managing director of Jumbo Belgium, Peter Isaac, said, "We think we can distinguish ourselves well from other Belgian supermarkets. Because at Jumbo, customers don't have to choose between price, range or service, but find everything in one supermarket."
Store Launch
The retail giant is set to open its first stores in the country by the end of 2019 in Rijkevorsel, Pelt, and Lanaken.
In 2020, it plans to open another 12 to 15 supermarkets in Flanders.
Jumbo will recruit around 70 employees in each store.
The company aims to open around 100 stores in the country in the coming years.
